Vent Systems - Active, Passive and Power Venting

Ark-Les vent systems control or dampen air flow and noise which are critical in dish washers.  These products are designed and manufactured to meet specific requirements with passive or active control.  Typical installations are in confined spaces within the appliance cabinet.  Condensation and console drip problems can also be eliminated with the help of Ark-Les lab testing and development.  Material grades are NSF compliant for possible contact with food and ensures clean and maintenance free surfaces.  Contact Ark-Les to work with our Engineers in designing a successful and economical vent system solution.

Active Vents Systems
Active vents open or close with electro-mechanical actuators allowing enhanced drying.  Ark-Les custom design vents fit inside the cabinet door.  The Ark-Les wax motor is ideal for such applications with its ultra-quiet operation and operating voltage levels available from 12VDC to 240VAC.   In some cases, expensive space consuming muffler tubes are eliminated and allow more room for additional sound insulation.

Passive Vents Systems
Passive vents are identical to the active version except they never close or block the air path.   Depending upon the application, the same vent housing and seals used in an active vent system can be used to create product differentiation with varying levels of noise performance.

Power Vent Systems
Power vents include a blower fan to force greater air flow.  This is very applicable in dish washer drying performance.  The vent system can include internal doors and seals to provide active noise control or integrated vent and fan housings.
